One model registry
L3 registry is the single owner; EV becomes a library
RECOMMENDED
- Status
- RECOMMENDED — awaiting Vinayak
- Options
- L3 registry; EV; MLflow behind the existing interface
- Trade-offs
- Duplication today
- Recommendation
- The L3 registry (
registry/,gates/,certification/) is the single owner of champion, challenger and promotion. EV keeps backtests as a library that writes scorecards into the L3 registry. - Why
- Two promotion paths today. L3 already forbids auto-promotion and has human-gated promotion.
- Evidence
- section 2.2 L3 registry and EV cards;
AutoPromoteForbidden. - Reversible
- Yes, before per-plant champions exist.
- Blocks
- Coverage gate, per-plant champion, sustainment signals.
